- Send us a photo with the highest resolution and quality, if this is too low our artists will not be able to capture enough detail.
- If you don’t like the way you look in the photo try to pick another, please do not expect our artists to make you look better, we will paint what we see!
- Try to pick a photo where there is sharp focus throughout the picture, this enables more detail overall and makes it easier for our artist to capture the detail.
- Do not use photos that are out of focus or foggy, where the subject is too close or too far away.
- When you review the finished portrait, we will modify the portrait until you are 100% satisfied with the results
- If the painting arrives damaged, contact us at sales@picture2paper.com immediately. We will either repair the damage or, if the portrait is beyond repair, we will send you a new painting free of charge.
- If the painting is lost by our courier, we will also send you a new portrait free of charge.
- When your framed product arrives, if it is damaged, we will ask you to return the frame and we will send you a replacement or refund the cost of the frame.
Shipping And Delivery
What Is the turnaround Time?
Our portraits are hand painted to order to the best quality possible, to ensure we meet your standards we quote 2-6 weeks per painting. However, if there is a deadline to meet, for example a Wedding or a Birthday, please contact us with the details. If you want your finished portrait to be amended in any way, then it will take an additional 7 days. (Not including the time you take to approve any changes)Which Countries do you ship to?
Currently, we only ship to the United Kingdom inc. England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Island (Excluding the Channel Isles and the Isle of Man). However, if you require your painting shipped to anywhere else in the World, please contact us to discuss shipping costs.
How long does it take to ship my portrait?
Please allow up to 5 working days from the day you confirm you are 100% happy with the finished product. We need to make sure that the painting is dry and ready to be shipped before we can ship it.
Painting Options
Is it possible to combine a photo of a person and a landscape together?
All you need to do is send us several photos, select the number of figures in the painting and give us detailed information in the comments boxes when placing your order. You can email us as many photos as you like.
The Order Form shows portraits only 24”X20” not 20X24”, what do I do?
This is not a problem, we refer to both options. For example, if the photo you send is Portrait (vertical) then we will paint your portrait (vertical). If the photo you send is landscape (horizontal), then we will paint your photo landscape (horizontal).
Can I choose a background for my portrait?
Yes we do this at no extra cost. There is a variety of colours to choose from or you can have the original background of the painting. When you place your order there is a list of backgrounds to choose from. Also, if you wanted a completely different background from another photo, for example a landscape, select this option from the background list and it only costs and extra £9.99 per portrait.
What do you use to paint my portrait?
All of our portraits are painted using acrylic paint to ensure all the detail and characteristics are kept the way they should be. We use a standard canvas shown in a number of sizes; this enables easy wall mounting and framing.

Which Photos Should I Send?
As long as our artists can see the details of your photo clearly we can paint a good portrait for you. Review your photo for the following details before you send it:
What format should I send my photo in?
We suggest sending a photo in the highest resolution and quality, no matter how big the file is. The better the image is, the better your portrait will be. We accept .jpeg, .gif, .bmp, .png, .tiff.
Can I send a hard-copy of the photograph?
Of course, please email us and we will send you the address to send them to.
Can I send a scanned image of the photograph?
Yes, this is fine as long as there is no loss of quality from the photograph.
If I send a hard-copy by post, can I get it back?
We will always send you the hard-copy back with the finished portrait.
Costing
How much does a portrait painting cost?
At Picture2Paper we aim to keep our prices as competitive as possible offering a hand painted service. For our complete pricing guide please select a category first (E.g. People, Pets or Landscape).
Can I select a size?
You can order your portrait in a number of different sizes, when ordering you can select which size you require. If the size you want isn’t shown please put the size in the comments box on the order form. The price will be calculated according to the closest size shown.
Do you charge extra for modification?
Our aim at Picture2Paper is for you to be happy with the finished product and for you to recommend us to your friends and family. Therefore, we will do as many modifications as required until you are 100% happy with the product.
What method of payment do you except?
At Picture2Paper security is a priority, we ensure our customers can safely pay for their portrait using PayPal’s checkout. The following cards are currently accepted: Visa, Master Card, Maestro, Visa Debit, Solo and Switch. Unfortunately, we are unable to accept American Express or any form of Cheque.
What if I do not have a PayPal Account?
Paypal is one of the safest ways to pay for goods or services online. If you do not have a Paypal account you can either create one to pay for your painting, or simply select the option "I do not have a Paypal Account" and proceed to put in your Credit card information.
Framing
Can my painting be framed?
Most of our competitors will charge extra for a gallery wrap, this means your painting is stretched onto a wooden form. We do this for you free of charge. However, if you would like us to frame the canvas for you, please email us for further details.
My Order
Can I preview the painting before I receive it?
Once your painting is complete we will email you a copy of it to review. Most of our customers are happy with the first preview. However, we will do as many modifications as you require until you are 100% happy with the portrait.
What’s the status of my order?
To view the status of your order, please login to your account, click on order details and this will show the current details of your order.
What is your returns policy?
